Hands on Physical Therapy and Body Work for Horses
Physical body work sessions for horses using skills and techniques gained from training as a McTimoney-Corley Animal Therapist combined with massage, myofascial release and energy work.
The body work treatment includes- ~Initial static examination of your horse ~Visual movement assessment seeing the horse walked and trotted in hand. If appropriate I may ask to see the horse ridden or lunged to help with the assessment. ~Assessment continues as I progress to mobilising the limbs and palpating soft tissue. ~Every horse is a unique individual so each horses treatment will be slightly different from another.
The first session is usually approximately one hour. Follow up treatments are approximately 45mins.
I will always discuss with you how many treatments and how frequently your horse would benefit from them so we can create a plan that fits in with you and your horse.
I work alongside your vet or any other professional that is part of the horses care team with the aim of optimising the wellbeing of your horse to keep it fit, healthy, happy and in work, and prolonging its working life while helping to prevent injury.
Consultation and treatment cost £50
There may additional travel costs depending on the location and how many horses being treated at a yard, please call me to discuss.
Combination of distance animal communication session and hands on physical body work- A combined treatment session that includes a distance animal communication session prior to the physical body work session. These modalities work to compliment each other using all my skills and offer the ultimate treatment for your horse. This involves 3 parts-
1.Distance Animal Communication - Through an intuitive connection I can receive information from your horse, they can convey messages to me and I can ask them questions. This can be for peace of mind and well being, to check if they are in any physical discomfort, to try and understand them better and make their lives the best we possibly can. If an animal is emotionally unbalanced I can often get a sense of how they are feeling and ask questions to try and help understand them better.
2.Hands on Physical Therapy and Body Work - As described above, a full visual and physical hands on assessment followed by the full physical therapy body work session.
3.Discussion of both the communication and the body work, concluding with a recommended plan
Cost of a combined treatment £90
Travel costs may be additional depending on location and numbers of horses to be treated. Please contact me for details and to discuss further.
