Conscious Collaborations

As people are realising more and more that horses are able to bring something special to the ever evolving healing paradigms I am finding it increasingly common to see adverts for horses being part of sound healing sessions, meditations, breathwork, along with equine facilitated learning sessions and all the more familiar riding, grooming lessons that have been there all along now being promoted for their ‘wellbeing for people’ aspects too. This is all really exciting and wonderful that we are becoming more conscious of what a lot of people have know for a very long time, which is that after being around or hanging out with horses they just feel better. They may not know why, or what exactly happens, but they know they feel better than they did before.

Some of the ways this comes about might involve fully present interactions with horses, other ways maybe observing the herd from a distance, and some healing sessions may involve being in a completely altered state in the close presence of horses. However the interactions are occurring there is potentially energetic exchange happening in the heart fields of all the beings involved. You can read more about this phenomena on the Institute of Heartmath website where they are doing so many amazing research projects to help us understand the science behind the energetics of Life.

What I am getting to in this blog was prompted by a communication I did recently to check in with some horses around their part in some healing sessions that their people offer. Their people were keen to understand some changes in their horses behaviour towards the work and healing sessions being offered, and to understand the best way forward for all. Which got me wondering does everyone regularly check in with the horses that are part of their sessions, do the horses truly have a choice in how involved they are, is there enough horses versus the ‘work load’ so that some can step back if needed. And interestingly, do the people ask the horses what direction they would like the work and sessions to be going in? How else could we be doing things? Is there anything you enjoy? Anything you would like to be different? Are you happy in this collaboration? What is your role? As individuals and as a herd? I had many questions start to flow, and insights that came from the horses so I felt it would be nice to share these ideas and thoughts here for others to maybe take to their horses herds, or consider for themselves, or if anyone is wondering about the work they are doing and would like to hear from their herd or horses just to let you know this is something I can help you with via communications too.
